Here is a list of the growers, farmers and artisans currently selling through Augusta Locally Grown. All of them are located within 100 miles away.

Like any traditional farmers’ market, these growers describe their own products and growing practices, set their own prices, and are selling directly to you.

Here is our grower policy in a nutshell:

LOCAL & SUSTAINABLY GROWN – We strive to feature only products that are both LOCAL AND SUSTAINABLY GROWN. Some are certified organic, some are not yet certified, but ALL agree to follow organic practices as closely as possible. However, one exception does apply. When an item DOES NOT GROW in our region (such as coffee), we will offer that product ONLY IF there is a strong local connection (such as a local coffee roaster.) These items must also show that they are grown in a sustainable, responsible way.”

Our FARMER HANDBOOK spells these guidelines out in detail. It is reviewed and updated every year by our Board of Directors. We are happy to email you a copy of this year’s version at your request.
